[Job opening] Internship

 

The Korean Cultural Centre in Canada (KCC) has an opening of 1 position. Interested cadidates may apply by referring to the below guidelines.

 

1. Position : Intern

 

2. Duties

  A. Conducting guided tours of exhibitions and the centre in Korean and English;

  B. Coordinate front-desk activities such as dealing with queries, answering telephone, screening and directing calls, and receiving and relaying messages; and

  C. Providing general administrative and clerical support.

 

3. (Qualification) You can apply if you are:

  A. Legally entitled to work in Canada such as Canadian citizens, permanent residents, work permit holders;

  B. Without any disqualifications (such as criminal records) to work in KCC;

  C. Fluent in both Korean and English; and

  D. Able to use basic computer applications such as Hancom Office and MS Office.

  E. It would be preferable if you are fluent in French.

 

4. If you are selected, you will:

  A. begin your position on late October 2018; and

  B. After six months, your contract can be renewed for another six months, depending on relevant performance evaluations.

  C. You will work from Monday to Friday; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Lunch between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.)

 

5. Application

  A. 1st round (resume and cover letter)

    1) Please submit your resume and cover letter to wonsangchoi@korea.kr.

    2) Please submit the documents by Wednesday, October 24, 2018 (Eastern Time Zone).

     ※ The subject line of your email message should be “Internship application (your name and phone number)” only.

  B. 2nd round (Interview): The schedule of interview will be individually notified to applicants who pass the 1st round.

 

6. Required documents

  A. Required document for the 1st round: resume in Korean, resume in English, cover letter in Korean, and cover letter in English.

   ※Please specify your citizenship and status in Canada in your resume.

  B. Required documents for the 2nd round: A photocopy of your photo ID, a proof of enrolment or a certificate of graduation for highest education, career certificate (if applicable), certificate of language proficiency (if applicable).

   ※Please scan and submit the required documents for interview by email attachment. Original copies will be asked to submit if your employment is confirmed.

  C. Required documents for a final candidate: TBA.
